  Visor Cap Luftwaffe. (Lot: 1313)

  A Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap crafted from blue-grey wool cloth, featuring the characteristic silver piping along the crown and band. The crown is adorned with a Luftwaffe eagle embroidered in silver bullion, clutching a swastika in its talons. The band displays an officer’s cockade framed by oak leaves with wings, executed in hand embroidery using silver and gold-colored thread. The visor is constructed of black lacquered leather. The chinstrap consists of double silver braid with aluminum buttons featuring a pebbled surface. The cap exhibits signs of wear on the upper portion of the crown.

  Waffen SS Visor Cap (Lot: 1276)

  Beautiful late war Waffen SS cap with proper insignia and clean piping that butts up perfectly. This hat has an excellent black center band and great shape to the body of the visor cap. The exterior does shows a few moth nips, but nothing very detracting and it would make an excellent display piece. The interior shows wear, but no abuse and just normal sweat marks. Overall a very nice example of this style cap.

  Waffen SS Officer Cap of Hilmar Wackerle (Lot: 1275)

  Absolutely stunning cap with very interesting history. Cap is in very nice overall condition showing signs of wear, but still very clean. The exterior has a great shape to the body and perfect insignia and piping. The interior has some sweat staining to the band and has the initials “HW” stamped to the one side. The sweat diamond is intact and has the paper name tag still present. Cap comes with a complete binder full showing the different awards he was issued as well as brief story of Wackerle. Just a stunning piece and the type of cap that you do not see very often .Below is more info on his time in service.
  DACHAU
  In 1933 Wäckerle was picked by his old ally Himmler to be commandant of the newly established Dachau concentration camp.[6] Under orders from Himmler, he established ‘special’ rules for dealing with prisoners, rules that instituted terror as a way of life at the camp.[7] His initiatives included execution of four prisoners for ‘violent insubordination’ and ‘incitement to disobedience’[8] for which he was charged criminally. He left the post a few months later, with Theodor Eicke taking his place.
  WAFFEN-SS
  Wäckerle was an early member of the units that became the Waffen-SS and finally came to be an officer with this group, serving in the Netherlands. He led his SS-battalion during the breakthrough of the Dutch Grebbe-line and was wounded in the process. He also served in the invasion of the Soviet Union.[6] His service was spent with the 5th SS Panzer Division Wiking.[10] He had reached the rank of Standartenführer by the time he was killed in action near Lviv in 1941.

  Luftwaffe Officer’s Visor Cap – WWII (Lot: 811)

  German Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap, WWII period.

  Dark blue/grey wool body with silver piping and original silver bullion wreath, cockade and eagle insignia. The insignia shows typical age and light wear consistent with period use.

  The cap is in overall worn condition. The visor is partially separating from the body and requires attention. The crown has lost its original shape and appears somewhat misshapen from storage. Interior lining present with celluloid diamond intact; sweatband shows age and wear.

  This is a budget-level example, suitable as a display or restoration piece.

  Luftwaffe EM Flak Visor Cap (Lot: 397)

  This is a un-issued Flak visor cap. Condition is outstanding with a perfect shape to the body of the cap and bright red piping. The cap is a size 56, has full sweat diamond with maker mark and even retains original paper from manufacturer. No mothing and the only damage is a slight tear to the sweat band on the left rear section which is pictured. Just a very attractive cap that would display nicely.

  Luftwaffe EM Flight Visor Cap (Lot: 396)

  The exterior of this cap is in outstanding condition with no mothing and great color to the yellow piping. Interior is also very nice with a full sweat diamond that shows maker in gold color. The cap is a size 55 and is group marked under the sweat band Aufkl. Gr. 12. This cap is just a super example that has a very nice slouch look to it.

  Army Artillery Officer Visor Hat (Lot: 395)

  The inside has a super sweat diamond that is fully intact and is named to the original owner. The sweat band has wear, but is solid and has noticeable perspiration staining. The exterior has a very high peak and an excellent eagle and cockade. The piping does have some moth bites and some tracking on the top of the cap. It is still very tight and a very handsome visor.

  Luftwaffe Air Traffic Control NCO Summer Visor Cap (Lot: 394)

  This is a beautiful private purchase summer visor cap. The cap features an aluminum eagle and cockade with the green piping to the black center band. Interior on the cap shows a nice tan leather sweatband with white satin lining. Sweat diamond is intact and has the ‘Hut-Mayer Neuotting” marking in gold. Very hard to find a cap of this division and even harder to find one in this condition.

  Beautiful condition and looks almost unissued. No mothing, no stains, no rips and no tears. The insignia is machine sewn and perfect and the buttons to the front have almost 100% paint. The interior of the cap is nicely marked as a size 57 and it retains the pull down tabs. Hard to find any flaws on this beauty of a cap.

  Infantry NCO Visor Cap (Lot: 276)

  The exterior of this cap is in very nice condition and has a great shape to the body. Has a few small moth nips here and there which are pictured and has excellent insignia. The interior of the cap is really the most interesting part with the owners initials of “OZ” made of two small metal discs that have been pressed into the sweat band. The under side of the cap is also very nicely marked making this a very desirable piece.

  This cap shows considerable wear and sweat, but that only enhances what the cap is and the fact is retains its original medical soutache still attached, makes in extremely desirable. There is wear to the eagle, a lot of perspiration and wear. It has the proper grommets. Would estimate the size of the hat to be a 57 1/2 to a 58.

  Luftwaffe Meir Cap (Lot: 267)

  This cap is a definite been there and seen action as it has nice wear and some saltiness overall. It has the original neck flap, is marked inside and dated 1942 and a size 58 1/2. The chin strap is solidly intact, though does show some age wear from the heat and perspiration of the original wearer. There is wear to the eagle but the main body of the eagle is perfectly intact. A gorgeous hat, something for one who wants a hat that has actually seen Africa.
