German steel helmet model 1916 (Stahlhelm M16) featuring original camouflage finish from the First World War period. The dome surface retains hand-applied camouflage decoration consisting of geometric segments divided by black lines. The helmet is equipped with characteristic ventilation bolts (Lüftungsbolzen) on the sides for attachment of the brow shield. The interior preserves an original leather chin strap with three flaps, showing signs of natural wear from use. An ink inscription is visible on the inner surface of the dome. This example is of considerable collector interest due to its preserved field camouflage finish.
