2 inch round barrel. 36 caliber rifled bore. F.H. Clark was one of the 15 agents authorized by Henry Deringer to retail his famous pistols. F.H. Clark was not only an agent for Henry but sold Tennessee made derringers as well. This is a true Southern derringer exhibiting classic Southern form and possibly coin silver furniture.
Breech engraved with a scroll. The back action lock with good floral engraving. Hammer engraved ensuite. Even the bolster features silver overlay. All screws are engraved. Unusual silver reinforcing inlay under the fore-end. Silver furniture is engraved.
Walnut full stock is finely checkered at wrist. Barrel stampings are worn but generally very good. The pin front sight appears to be gold. Shield thumb piece is finely engraved. Action is good. Bore is fair. Wood rates very fine with crisp checkering.
6 and 3/4 inches overall. This is a very fine and scarce Southern derringer. Barrel markings have been verified as authentic by Jack Lewis, a noted Southern derringer collector and expert.

Marked with one of England’s premier makers of the period, these guns are likely the fake watches of their day. Both guns are in nice condition with engraved frames and slab butts with vacant silver escutcheons.
Both actions, including push-on safeties, function without problems.
Overall length approximately 5 7/8 inches, with twist off barrels, standard British proofs.

Scarce Model 1826 Naval U.S. Martial Flintlock Single Shot By W.L. Evans Valley Forge Pennsylvania (Lot: 493)

8 and 1/8th inch round barrel. .54 caliber. Identical to the 1826 Naval flintlock pistols by Simeon North. The barrel struck at the breech with “US”, “P”, and “LS”. Captive ramrod. The lock stamped “W.L. EVANS” and “US” dated at tail 1830. The lock expertly reconverted to flintlock as is common with this scarce model.
Walnut stock with original short steel belt hook. Steel furniture of standard pattern. Barrel condition is good with very light pitting. Lock with light pitting and wear to stampings. Walnut stock with wear throughout and no visible cartouche but no splits or cracks. The action functions with both half and full cock. The bore is good.
Altogether an acceptable example of this scarce U.S. naval flintlock pistol with a total production of “1000 or less” according to Flayderman.

Over/Under Single Trigger Ebony Handled Percussion Pocket Pistol (Lot: 492)
$ 880 fee: 22.5%This is a compact percussion pocket pistol featuring an over/under barrel configuration and a single trigger mechanism. The pistol is designed for concealed carry and personal defense, typical of mid-19th century craftsmanship.
The barrels are arranged vertically (over/under), and both are fired via a single trigger, alternating or sequentially depending on the mechanism. The action is percussion cap-fired, common in the pre-cartridge era.
The grip is made of finely shaped ebony wood, offering a sleek and elegant appearance as well as a firm hold. The frame and barrels are typically constructed from steel or brass, sometimes engraved or proof-marked, depending on the maker and origin.
Due to its size and configuration, this type of pistol was popular among gentlemen and travelers for its discreetness and ease of use.

English Napoleonic Period Yeomanry Pistol By Well-Known Maker William Parker (Lot: 474)
$ 1,650 fee: 22.5%This is a beautiful English Napoleonic Period yeomanry pistol by the well-known maker William Parker, No. 233 Holborn Street, London. These were commonly used by English militia and volunteers intending to protect the British Isles from a possible French flat bottom fleet invasion across the channel during the Napoleonic Wars.
Wealthy militia officers had a wide variety of weapons from which to choose to arm their local troops, and this was one of the popular weapons of choice.
This musket bore weapon is approximately .65 caliber and has the standard English proofs and markings. The action functions flawlessly. It has a captive (stirrup) ramrod.
The weapon is overall in excellent condition with a few instances of light wood bruising that would be expected with the handling of an issued weapon.

Rare 18th Century Scandinavian Military Issue Flintlock Holster Pistol Circa 1750 (Lot: 473)

12 and 7/8th inch round steel barrel flattened at breech. .72 caliber. Barrel engraved “TESTETICSREI (?)” further marked at breech with military stamp illegible. Plain stepped, bolted lock stamped with an eagle in a circle. Faceted pan. Full brass military mounts with spurred buttcap and solid sideuplate.
Figured, molded walnut fullstock with lovely grain throughout. Brass fore-end cap and brass tipped ramrod lots well. Steel is patinated, Brass is a mellow color that is most attractive. Walnut fullstock rates fine overall with beautiful old patina and no damage. Action works well on both full and half cock. Bore is fair. 20 inches overall.
This is a rare pattern Scandinavian military pistol with interesting barrel markings. A must for the collector of 18th century military flintlock pistols.

6 and 1/2 inch ‘Spanish’ form barrel. 1 and 1/8th inches wide across the muzzle. Lovely rings at muzzle and rings at the juncture of the round section with the faceted breech section.
The plain convex lock struck with French proof, bridled frizzen, push on safety. Full steel mounts, the plain triggerguard with acorn finial. Nicely shaped faceted steel sideuplate. Steel umbrella buttcap. Figured walnut fullstockl well carved with shell design at rear of breech.
A most attractive design on wrist in fine silver wire compliments this good officer’s blunderbuss. The bore is good and the action is crisp on both half and full cock. Steel surfaces are smooth with no pitting. The stock is fine overall with one minor loss under tail of the lock and another at forward portion. Ramrod is a replacement. 12 and 3/4 inches overall.

In as-found condition this gun shows standard English proofs with the lock plate being marked with a large royal crown; the bore is approximately .79 caliber.
The wood is extremely sound showing typical handling marks of an issued weapon. The action functions at full and half cock position. The hammer appears to be a working life replacement.
