Order of Military Merit with Swords, 2nd Class (Commander’s Cross), early type

Commander’s Cross of the Order of Military Merit with Swords on a neck ribbon in black, yellow and white. The cross is enamelled in deep red with applied gilt swords. The white-bordered central medallion bears the inscription “За военна заслуга” and the date “1891”, with a raised heraldic lion at centre. The suspension takes the form of a princely crown with red and green enamel, characteristic of the early version of the order. Condition: good, with minor age-related wear.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
