Original German Wound Badge (Verwundetenabzeichen) in Gold from the World War II period. This award was given for severe or multiple wounds received in combat.

The obverse features a steel helmet with a swastika, set against a background of crossed swords and a laurel wreath. The badge retains a significant portion of its original gold finish. The reverse side has a vertical pin attachment. No maker’s mark is present.

The condition is excellent for its age: minor signs of wear, no restorations or repairs. A completely authentic piece, perfect for enhancing any serious military awards collection.
