The blade features high-quality etching on both sides: one side bears the inscription ‘Infanterie Regiment No. 41, Amberg, Bayr. Ostmark’ within a decorative cartouche; the other side displays a composition featuring a steel helmet, crossed rifles, a shooting target, the Wehrmacht eagle with swastika, and the inscription ‘Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit’ (‘In Memory of My Service’). The blade ricasso bears the retailer’s mark of Peter Kolb, Amberg, as well as the Original Eickhorn Solingen logo depicting a squirrel. The handle, fitted with black Bakelite grip scales featuring characteristic diamond checkering, is mounted on nickel-plated fittings.
