A Rare 18th Century Scandinavian Military Issue Flintlock Holster Pistol Circs 1750.

12 and 7/8th inch round steel barrel flattened at breech. .72 caliber. Barrel engraved “TESTETICSREI (?)” further marked at breech with military stamp illegible. Plain stepped, bolted lock stamped with an eagle in a circle. Faceted pan. Full brass military mounts with spurred buttcap and solid sideuplate.

Figured, molded walnut fullstock with lovely grain throughout. Brass fore-end cap and brass tipped ramrod lots well. Steel is patinated, Brass is a mellow color that is most attractive. Walnut fullstock rates fine overall with beautiful old patina and no damage. Action works well on both full and half cock. Bore is fair. 20 inches overall.

This is a rare pattern Scandinavian military pistol with interesting barrel markings. A must for the collector of 18th century military flintlock pistols.
