This M.K.2 Infantry Assault Badge in Silver is a great example of a desirable badge, with an appealing look. It is made of zinc. The obverse retains a nice amount of the original silver wash, with some fading and small areas of zinc pest to the surface. There is no evident wear, and all of the crisp original detail is intact. The reverse of this badge is flat and smooth, and retains virtually all of the silver wash, as is typical with this maker. It’s maker marked behind the swastika with “M.K.2.” The hardware setup features a ball hinge and wire catch, both crimped in place. The attachment pin is round steel wire. It remains functional, with some slight surface oxidation from age. This M.K.2 Infantry Assault Badge is a relatively scarce variant. The condition of this one rates as excellent.
