An original Hungarian cockade for headgear used in the Kingdom of Hungary during the interwar period and World War II. Made from a brass alloy, it is designed in the shape of a coat of arms topped with the Hungarian Crown of Saint Stephen.
At the bottom, a ribbon bears the inscription “Királyért és Hazáért,” which translates as “For the King and the Homeland” — a traditional Hungarian motto. The piece features rich detailing and clearly legible heraldic elements.
An authentic component of military or gendarmerie uniform from the Hungarian forces, it is a remarkable find for collectors and enthusiasts of Central European history.
