Original Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK) belt buckle from the Third Reich era. The buckle is made of aluminum and is of standard size, intended for wear by enlisted personnel and junior medical staff.
The front features a Third Reich eagle with outstretched wings, clutching a wreath containing a Red Cross and swastika. The background has a characteristic pebbled texture. The detailing is excellent, with deep relief and clearly defined elements.
The reverse side retains the original fastening system with the catch and prongs. A maker’s mark is present.
The condition is excellent for its age: minor signs of storage and careful wear, with no damage, deformations, or restorations. A fully authentic piece, ideal for any serious collection of DRK awards, uniforms, or militaria from the World War II period.
Outstanding gorget which which has the number 540 on the front banner which was Hitlers town. Has a dark patina and has never been cleaned. Original felt backing still intact and maker marked Junker. Just a super out of the woodwork piece that has not been touched in 70+ years.
