DDR General’s dagger. MINT! (Lot: 48)
$ 850 fee: 0%This dagger is a symbol of the East German military elite, a relic of the Socialist era and a mark of authority for high-ranking officers within the National People’s Army (Nationale Volksarmee). Crafted with precision and discipline, the dagger embodies the stark, utilitarian aesthetic of the DDR military, reflecting the socialist ideals and the political landscape of the time. This dagger would have been primarily ceremonial or used for specific, symbolic purposes rather than as a standard-issue combat weapon. It’s a historical artifact that encapsulates the austere and highly controlled nature of post-war East Germany.
